Deploying a Java Application on NetBeans

Deploying a Java Application on NetBeans is easy and can be done on NetBeans directly

Go to your Application project on NetBeans and right click on the application you want deployed,

A pop up menu will appear, you then click on clean and build

Clicking clean and build starts the process of turning your application into a jar file, a dist folder will be created in the default application director, with the jar file inside it

After clicking clean and build, go to your Applications directory in Documents>NetBeansProjects>YourAppName>dist

You should see the dist folder as in the screenshot above, open the folder and you will see your jar file alongside lib folder (the two must always be in the same directory). Copy the two file and paste anywhere you want, double click the jar file to run your application

Now your Application is not dependent on NetBeans and can run on any platform that has the JVM (JAVA Virtual Machine) installed
