GTEasySavers Account Introduction

This is introducing the GTEasySavers Account which is an easy to open, easy to operate savings account designed for unbanked and underbanked individuals in Nigeria, the account operates like a regular bank account and follows the rules set by Central Bank of Nigeria’s financial inclusion strategy for Nigeria

Before going into much more detail, this article will show you how to open and maintain a GTEasySavers Account, follow the listed steps below;

  1. Are you an Etisalat Subscriber?
    • IF YES: Move on to number 2
    • IF NO: Get an Etisalat sim card
  2. Dial the USSD Short code: 737*0# on your Etisalat enabled Mobile Phone
  3. A 10 digit account number will be sent to you SMS

Funding the GTEasySavers Account is similar to a regular account, you can fund the account through the following ways;

Note:

Please note that Transaction limits for the GTEasySavers Account is ₦20,000 for a single deposit and maximum cumulative of ₦200,000 account balance at any point in time which follows the CBN’s Tier 1 KYC status limits

Also GTEasySavers Account holders do not need to provide initial documentation, but if they want to upgrade their account to a tier 3 by visiting any GTBank branch with documentations which must include a valid ID card and utility bill
